Scope of Work :
The purpose of the Healthcare Case Manager is to meet expectations by assessing patient needs, resolving issues and triaging information appropriately. This includes introducing patients to our services, conducting their Benefits Investigation for Coverage, and coordinating their prescription with a Specialty Pharmacy. In addition to normal processes, this representative will also be expected to provide general information about Medicare?s coverage, conduct Part D plan comparisons and enrollments, and review copay assistance alternatives.
Responsibilities:
Act as point of contact. Rep will be working in an inbound/outbound environment to introduce services, gather patient data, address patient needs, review insurance benefits and discuss copay assistance.
Prioritize and Triage accordingly.
Rep will be determining prescription referrals to pharmacy, triaging to the appropriate assistance program and prioritizing patient follow-up accordingly.
The Ideal Candidate would have the following attributes:
Stable Work History
Knowledge in insurance benefits and pharmacy benefits
Call center Experience
Prior Authorization experience is highly preferred.
Candidate must have experience with Medicare, Part D plan comparisons and enrollment.
Full knowledge of Medicare and the ability to explain it to patients is a must.
Candidate must have good organization, punctuation, grammar and must be a team player
Candidate must have experience with Commercial insurance and Medicaid.

Organizes and conducts classes and individual meetings to demonstrate how the organization's products and services contribute to the maintenance and improvement of health and/or the management of specific diseases and physical conditions.
Prepares and distributes educational and instructional material (e.g., booklets, promotional kits). May expand patient pool through participation in referral and screening programs.
Provides information and suggestions to sales and/or medical representatives and management on the results of educational programs, including comments and questions from patients and health care professionals.
Has developed specialized skills or is multi-skilled through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
Completes work with a limited degree of supervision
Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience- Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data
Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions
Education:
HS plus 3-5 years of related experience or Post-secondary certifi./Assoc. degree
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $18.00 /hour
