We are the only Texas-based door-to-door environmental group in town! You will build valuable communication skills quickly and have a direct impact on legislation protecting our environment and public health. We are currently hiring for both short-term/summer and long-term/permanent campaign staff positions. Become part of real grassroots change by joining our highly skilled and dedicated staff now! TCE has been around since 1991 winning campaigns with strength in numbers gathered in the community. Some of our more recent victories include convincing industry giant Hewlett-Packard to strengthen their company policy against international export of e-waste to developing countries, and passing a state law to provide free computer recycling for Texas residents via manufacturer take-back programs. We are actively working to change that by getting television manufacturers to provide free, state-wide recycling for all consumers. Join our campaign staff and change policy through membership support and thousands of handwritten letters sent directly to CEO�s and legislators from people in communities across Texas. Qualifications: Highly self-motivated individuals with outstanding communication skills and a passion for justice.
