Becoming a scribe is a great entry level opportunity that allows you work closely with a physician. This experience will afford you with a unique perspective of the healthcare industry which cannot be produced by any other job. The primary role of the medical scribe is to assist the physician with documentation of the patient?s medical chart. The scribe accompanies the provider into the patient examination area in order to transcribe a history and physical examination as given by the patient and certified you will be proficient in medical terminology, your will be familiarized with the aspects of medical charting / coding. You will experience a ?birdseye view? of clinical presentation and medical management on a daily basis, this will make you a stronger candidate when applying for medical school / graduate school or any other allied health career path that you pursue.

Qualifications: You must be at least 18 years of must be a pre-medical student at an accredited University, or post baccalaureate with a premedical degree.
You must have a passion for medicine, and a goal to be a doctor or medical professional.
