Responsibilities:
The candidate will be part of a dynamic team building next generation applications for Customs & Border Protection (CBP) that enable and facilitate easy interaction between consumers (people and trade partners) and the government. The project will involve building complex web applications using open source technologies and deployed to a government cloud environment using continuous principles. The ideal candidate will have significant experience designing and building contemporary user interfaces with emphasis on user experience.

Required Skills:
Great communication skills, both verbal and written
4+ years developing complex User Interface (UI) applications with contemporary frontend technology stack
Experience with front-end build tools/task runners like NPM, gulp, grunt, webpack
Experience with architecting Single Page Applications (SPAs) using common design patterns
Hands on experience with ES6, HTML5, CSS3, CSS Preprocessors, etc.
Hands on experience with Material Design concepts and Bootstrap framework
Strong understanding of vanilla JavaScript and JavaScript web frameworks like React/Redux,Angular, etc.
Experience with JavaScript Unit Testing frameworks
Experience with American Disability Act (ADA) standards for UI development
Additional Qualifications:
US Citizenship and ability to obtain a government clearance
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related Engineering discipline
Desirable Skills:
Experience writing front-end unit tests
Contributions to open source projects
Aptitude to independently learn new technologies
