Akira Technologies, Inc. is looking for a full-time XSD developer who has experience in using agile development methodology across various domains in the organization. He or she will be part of a dynamic team supporting projects which are being expanded and integrated. Successful candidate possess strong XML schema definition skills and has an initiative for learning and an independent work ethic. Expected to have good technical acumen and be highly motivated. You will be part of an agile team where communication skills and the ability to conform to established design standards and development practices are key for successful delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Actively involve in requirements understanding, analysis, and design
· Recommend, design, create, review, and maintain Schema definitions for systems that range from medium to high complexity
· Comply with standards and guidelines related to design and development
· Develop clean, maintainable, reusable, and reliable components related to Schema definitions in specified time frame
· Work closely with architect and team leads to accomplish the goal
· Implement best practices for development and testing
· Identify problems in existing design and definition
· Apply knowledge of software development life cycle and agile approach
· Plan and provide estimate to complete the work
· Multi-task and manage time to deliver across various domains
· Work with the client, partners, and management in requirements gathering, analysis, and design process
· Improve job-related knowledge by studying the latest Schema design and development methodologies and best practices
· Develop and maintain a schema release catalog
Requirements:
· Excellent knowledge of Schema definitions using XML (5+ years)
· Experience in developing XSD scripts (3+ years)
· Experience in building reference data using XML
· Knowledge of Change Management and Release Management (1+ years)
· Self-motivated and driven to succeed
· Willingness to learn and teach, share knowledge with the team
· Great personality, good sense of humor, and teamwork skills
· Proactive (Prevent problems instead of firefighting) approach to design and development
· Responsible, accurate, and pays attention to the details
· Agile development experience (2+ years)
· Practiced development and coding standards
· Developed Release Notes or code documentation
· Managed defect logs and developed solution
· Good presentation and oral & written communication skills in English
· Experience with Altova XMLSpy (3+ years)
Desirable:
· Work experience in the FDA, ideally FDA ORA (1+ years)
· Ability to develop schema release catalog
· Technical writing or documentation skills
· Active clearance or the ability to receive a clearance
