WHAT IS THE JOB?
Prepare all aspects of the financial statement package, including journal entries, general ledger analysis & review, distribution of reports and month end closing
in a timely manner.
Monitor and maintain operating cash balances and prepares monthly bank reconciliations.
Interact with Regional Managers, District Managers and Property Managers in obtaining information needed to prepare accurate financial statements and analysis
of actual/budget variances.
Ensure timely payments of all debt, real estate taxes, insurance and distributions.
Preparation of annual budget and year-end audit work papers.
WHAT SKILLS ARE REQUIRED
College Degree required ? Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related degree.
Minimum two years? experience as Staff Accountant in property management or real estate fields, residential management optimal.
Full understanding of financial accounting cycle in order to process multiple property financial statements on a monthly basis.
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
Proficient in MS Word & MS Excel.
Experience with Yardi Voyager preferred.
Must be able to work outside the core business hours when needed.
