Corporate Controller Job Opening in Dallas, Texas - Origins has grown to become one of the nation's best known brands in residential substance use disorder treatment. In May 2017, Origins was acquired by TRT Holdings, Inc., a diversified private holding company owned by the Rowling family of Dallas that owns other successful brands, including Omni Hotels & Resorts and Gold's Gym.
Origins currently offers six different age and gender-specific residential treatment centers in West Palm Beach and Vero Beach, Florida and South Padre Island, Texas. These facilities total 188 licensed beds augmented by significant day treatment and outpatient programing. The Origins acquisition complements other TRT Holding operations, including Gaston House, a substance use disorder transitional living facility in Dallas that will be phased in to the Origins portfolio over time.
Origins Behavioral HealthCare is seeking a Controller for the day to day operations of our Finance department to work closely with the Chief Financial Officer. The Controller will manage the Finance and Accounting Departments providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Oversee the activities of the corporate Accounting and Finance Departments for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets. * Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance. * Oversee the activities of the Accounts Receivable Department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc; funding service management, which includes weekly funding reports and customer service; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports; and check statistic management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Master?s degree preferred. * CPA certification preferred * Five to ten years of hands-on accounting managerial experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle management * Detail oriented and analytically driven * Experience with financial reporting, and operational analysis. * Experience with Dynamix/ Great Plains, and QuickBooks.
