Our MAI/Genesis is looking for a seasoned Accounting Clerk who can be a team contributor to MAI/Genesis.
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the department. Keys information into the general ledger, ensures files are complete and maintained as needed, handles accounts payable and receivable duties, and assists accounting personnel.
Primary responsibilities
Performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in the accounting department
Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable, accounts receivable)
Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs
Compile data and prepare a variety of reports
Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers
Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies
Investigates questionable data
Requirements:
Two-year degree in Accounting
3-5 years accounting experience
Proficient with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
