Staff Accountant Job Opening in Ridgeland, South carolina - Our company is currently seeking an entry level staff accountant to join our growing team in Ridgeland SC. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable and all general accounting to include month end close. At Be Green Packaging our customer and vendor relationships are very important to us. This position will be a key role for managing and building those relationships. The right candidate will possess a warm and friendly personality and provide the highest standard of customer service, both externally and internally. Key responsibilities of the position are:
Review accounts payable invoices to ensure accuracy before importing in to our accounting system from Avid Exchange, correcting any inaccuracies.
Reconcile vendor statements monthly to be sure vendor accounts are accurate
Assist with weekly vendor payment processing
Contact customers daily to collect on any past due balances and provide support as needed
Assist customers as needed with billing related questions and concerns
Apply customer payments when we received
Prepare monthly account reconciliations, journal entries and account analysis to support reconciliations
Assist controller with ad hoc reporting
Manage daily cash reconciliations
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
Excellent computer skills
Excellent communication
Great attitude and team player
