Financial Controller Job Opening in Fort Mill, South carolina - This position reports directly to the President of the Company
Primary Responsibilities:
Budgeting
Manage the preparation of the company's budget and review with all senior leadership team members
Conduct monthly financial reviews and report to management on variances from the established budget, and analysis of those variances
Financial Analysis
Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reports, and review with the senior leadership team
Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities
Assist in the determination of product pricing in relation to features offered and competitor pricing
Compile key business metrics and report on them to management
Manage the capital budgeting process, based on constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis
Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management
Management
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Manage the financial aspects of outsourced functions (contract finishing, fabrication, texturing, etc.)
Oversee the operations of the treasury function, including the management of internal and/or external resources for achieving the department's goals and objectives
Funds Management
Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funding required for investment
Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
Maintain banking relationships
Assist in determining the company's proper capital structure
Additional Accountabilities
Oversee the extension of credit to customers
Skills & qualifications required
The financial analyst position in accounting and audit services demands following skills and qualifications.
A Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Must be proficient in QuickBooks
Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles
Must have extremely strong MS Excel skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion are required
Knowledge of procedural controls and data validation techniques required
Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
Strong presence with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership.
Financial modeling expertise a plus
