Group Sales Manager Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - Scheduled to open December 2017, Cambria Nashville will be in the heart of the SoBro (South of Broadway) neighborhood of downtown Nashville and is truly in THE "it" location - one block north of Nashville's new 1.2MM square foot convention center, MusicCity Center, two blocks west of the 20,000 seat Bridgestone Arena, three blocks northeast of the 350,000 square foot Country Music Hall of Fame and near Ryman Theater, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and the many popular Honky Tonks on Broadway east of 5th Avenue.

We need an energetic Sales Manager who knows the market and welcomes a challenge. The key expectation? Grow our GROUP business market share, maximize our revenue and profits. We need a proven strategist who knows how to take the ball and run with it, generating impressive results. We're new kids in town! Our Sales Manager will help put us on the map - Big (new) shoes to fill!Core sales manager responsibilities include: -Recommend and implement appropriate yield meet and exceed revenue targets, as set forth by the Senior Leadership-Partner effectively with other members of the team to increase REVPAR market share-Communicate effectively (and timely) with internal/external contacts to include Reservations, CRO, and GDS-Collaborate with the GM and DOSM to create pricing and to establish the monthly forecasts

Our sales manager checks off these boxes:
Education - college degree preferred; local relevant market experience a plus (minimum of one year focused on transient sales)Local corporate/BT market experience is a major plus.
Leadership - whether you have been a supervisor or not, you have the ability and desire to lead others to accomplish goals
Systems knowledge - you utilize the right tools, like Hotelligence, to maximize performance
Business savvy - demonstrated higher level understanding of pricing and yield policies, sales and marketing strategies and promotions; you can work with and comprehend critical financial data - knowledge of Delphi FDC a major plus; familiarly with TravelClick
Communication - able to convey information and ideas clearly and concisely. You represent yourself and the "brand" wellNimble - you are able to change your course of action, re-align strategies quickly and appropriately, ensuring outcomes are maximized
