Retail Sales Associate Job Opening in Greenwich, Connecticut - SPLURGE, winner of the Greenwich, CT small business of the year award and several Best of the Gold Coast awards, is looking for a high energy, warm and personable individual to join our team. SPLURGE is a unique boutique of fine gifts, jewelry, home decorative accessories, children?s gifts and much more. We are expanding in August to add girl?s clothing and an enhanced personalization area, and we are looking for people who are excited to be a part of a growing, family owned business! Customer service is paramount at our store.
We are looking for someone with retail sales experience. The ideal candidate:
is outgoing, friendly and positive
enjoys providing outstanding customer service
enjoys packaging and wrapping gifts
is comfortable operating and managing a point of sale system (adding and editing items within the system, creating purchase orders, printing tickets, taking inventory, and running reports)
will happily process daily receipts of new merchandise, replenish sales and recover the store, and will participate in the general upkeep and light cleaning of the store
will place special orders and follow them through to completion
possesses strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
has strong operational skills, is attentive to details and has good follow through
is creative and has a talent for creating attractive merchandise displays and window designs
is team oriented, confident & professional
has a car and is reliable, flexible, punctual, positive, hard-working and able to comfortably lift 30 - 40 pounds
has open availability and is able to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays.
This is a permanent, part time position (2 ? 4 days per week) and we are looking for someone who is willing to make a commitment of 1 year or more.
