SharePoint Administrator/ASAP Specialist Job Opening in Indianapolis, Indiana - Job Description :
The SharePoint Administrator (Application Systems Analyst/Programmer Specialist) will be responsible for the migration to SharePoint Online from the currently on premise SharePoint 2010 environment. This position will be responsible for all phases of planning, migration, testing, troubleshooting, and support. This position will be responsible for ensuring the ?best use? of SharePoint by programs and program staff by providing auditing, guidance, and training. This position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications, workflows and functionality within SharePoint to support the agency?s collaboration and process needs. Other duties include consulting and assisting staff to determine problems and finding solutions, documenting and monitoring progress of the systems, following schedules and completing assigned tasks within determined deadlines. The Systems Analyst/Programmer Specialist reports directly to the Information Services Director.
Responsibilities :
Managing and conducting migration of IDEM?s site collections from SharePoint 2010 on premise to SharePoint Online in Microsoft?s Government Cloud;
Training of agency staff at the beginner and intermediate levels;
Ongoing support of sites and site collections;
Establishment and organization of agency SharePoint user group;
Development of workflows and business solutions for agency program areas;
Oversee implementation of sites and functionality to ensure best practices are followed;
Manage library of user guides and relevant online resources for agency staff;
Ensure that SharePoint is effectively utilized for team and document collaboration and communications in the agency;
Ensure that SharePoint is not used for data management or document archiving through auditing;
Issue tracking, defect and bug tracing;
Responsible for analyzing, writing and maintaining new and existing InfoPath forms and workflows in SharePoint.
Works as a liaison for the agency with IOT to administer and troubleshoot Agency SharePoint Issues.
Executes and monitors tasks to conform to shop techniques, standards, policies, and procedures. Follows established guidelines through a complete Software Development Life Cycle.
Provides guidance to agency SharePoint users and site admins and works with management to plan for future plans for agency SharePoint solutions.
Creation, deliver, and implementation of updated SharePoint Online governance for agency and users;
Experience
Expert at SharePoint Online Administration;
Expert at migration of SharePoint site collections
Expert at testing and verification in SharePoint
Expert at creating, editing, and managing documentation
Expert at creating governance for SharePoint
Expert at use of all functionality in Site Settings for Site Collection Admins
Expert ability to troubleshoot and determine root cause of bugs and functionality issues;
Advanced experience with branding and design within SharePoint Online
Advanced experience with retention management
Advanced experience with auditing and reporting
Advanced understanding how to implement permissions and security
Advanced experience using SharePoint migration tools like ShareGate
Advanced experience with InfoPath and SharePoint Designer 2010 and 2013
Advanced experience in SharePoint developing custom workflows, using business connectivity services, custom components, and external information systems integration. Experience using SharePoint reporting tools.
Excellent written, verbal, non-verbal communication skills are required.
Experience in team facilitation and presentation for all staff levels and technical abilities
Experience with PowerShell
Experience with strategic planning
Experience with all Office 365 products and services including Power Apps, Flow, OneDrive, Yammer, Project Online, Microsoft Teams, and Power BI
Experience with business analysis and project management practices, methodologies, and tools and techniques;
Experience using Office 365 Mobile applications
Self-starting individual with strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills that can work independently or within a team.
Ability to perform advanced problem solving and analytical analysis. Ability to work with customers of various backgrounds and technical abilities.
