Candidate Profile:
Senior developer to architect. 10+ years? experience. You?ve been doing software for a while and have worn a number of hats ? heads-down coding, team leadership, research, and even some project, product or resource management. You?re looking to go all-in with a small team where you can make a major difference in the company and help determine its success or failure. You know how to responsibly acquire technical debt by following patterns, good comments and logging, but also know the importance of rewriting and revising to pay back debt, while being able to help the business team understand those tradeoffs. You will own a major line of business that is core to the company, or may not yet exist.
Role:
As a critical member of the development team, you are a team player and develop high quality code for the core product, create toolsets to help the business scale, and actively participate in R&D in adjacent technology areas to allow the business to maintain its cutting-edge product position.
As initially part of client delivery team, you will serve as a critical role to assure our engines outperform any alternative recommendations in tests, optimize client data integrations as well as design automation of the client onboarding process.
You will learn or become an expert in the APIs, data models, enrichment algorithms, management tools, and capabilities our platform utilizes. You will use this expertise to plan, write and test code for new and enhanced features and offerings, working with Product Management.
You will generally work independently on tasks, but participate as an active team member in daily scrums as part of our agile software development methodology. This includes joining sprint planning meetings as well as estimating work effort on tasks assigned to you and providing guidance to more junior team members.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in a computer science, with Masters or PhD highly valued.
10+ years professional experience in software development.
Excellence in planning, project estimation and impact analysis skills.
Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical professionals.
Strong track record of timely delivery.
Active communicator in discussions, knowing when to contribute, listen and/or ask questions.
Ability to think critically and design elegant solutions to challenging problems.
Experience designing, building and maintaining real-time, large-scale cloud-based applications.
Initial Technologies: SQL, , Swagger, Angular, Python, Amazon Web Services, Analytics and Big Data Processing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with A/B testing tools and processes (strongly preferred)
Experience with Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Image Recognition
Previous experience developing in Retail technology, eCommerce, or AdTech (strongly preferred)
Project or team lead experience
Technologies: data discovery tools, iOS, APK
