Staff Accountant Job Opening in Woodway, Texas - Swan Products has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant in its Waco, TX location. This position will report into the Plant Controller and provide support to the finance team. Strong MS Excel background preferred.
Specific Responsibilities
Analyze and submit weekly KPI reports and plant performance metrics.
Reconcile time cards and weekly payroll.
Tie production entries to Frontier?report any discrepancies to management team.
Tie scrap numbers to verify what is in DSC.
Review monthly reports of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, and under guidance correct errors prior to close of accounting period .
Conduct research on any outstanding or unexplained items and assist in identifying and explaining any variances on the Income Statement the Balance Sheet; report discrepancies to Plant Controller and management team..
Assist with budget preparations.
Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules.
Enter journal entries into the accounting system as needed.
Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
