Systems Application Support Analyst Job Opening in Richmond, Virginia - Ameritone, Inc., a rapidly growing electronic security systems integrator based in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Systems Application Support Analyst . The ideal candidate will be well versed in SQL-Server and Active Directory, and familiar with electronic applications such as access control, fire alarm, security, nurse call, and IP-based camera systems. The Systems Application Analyst supports and programs software applications that address customer business requirements, primarily in healthcare environments, and meet the company?s system architecture standards. They establish and document system parameters and formats, ensure hardware and software compatibility, and coordinate and/or modify system parameters for existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. They revise existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage. The Systems Application Analyst ensures that System processes are adhered to, and supports field technicians with program changes, testing, and design. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in a fast-paced, complex work environment; exceptional communication skills, including listening, writing, and speaking skills; exceptional customer service skills; ability to prioritize work and handle multiple priorities simultaneously; demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and use available resources; proven ability to attend to details and meet schedule and deadlines; ability to understand and comply with System policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working with SQL databases for maintenance and integration with other software such as Active Directory (mandatory).
Hands-on system and application administration, maintenance, and monitoring.
Revise existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling and storage.
Adhere to the technical requirements for the implementation of current and future systems.
Preparing technical solution and administration documents, work products and presentations for the customer.
Coordinate closely with Service and Project Managers.
Contribute to the overall planning of projects by recommending approaches, identifying resources, and developing timelines.
Leverage lifecycle implementation experience to anticipate changes required in project plans and processes.
Effectively communicate issues and potential alternative solutions.
Take initiative to achieve valued-added results and improve upon solutions offered.
Develop and foster collaborative working relationships with the customer, project managers and team members.
Interact with junior and mid-level personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated expertise in SQL Server and Active Directory.
DCJS Registered or capable of certification (including clean background check); Driver?s license and good driving record.
Able to understand and troubleshoot access control, life safety, CCTV, and fire alarm system software (training can be provided). Experience with multiple brands is a plus.
Knowledge of Windows Server ?08 and 2012
Ability to read design drawings, perform math requirements.
Strong technical & English language communication skills.
Professional appearance and friendly manner with customers.
