Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Opening in La Plata, Maryland - Reviewing Commercial accounts on delivery hold and releasing deliveries as appropriate
Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts
Possessing strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence to both internal and external clients
Making outbound collection calls (minimum of 45 calls a day), sending emails or written correspondence in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations
Reviewing accounts for line of credit increase or decrease and providing suggestions to the Accounting Supervisor
Providing timely follow-up
Processing transport loads including verifying quantity, product, price, and customer
Working closely with Client Care and Commercial Sales Team while understanding the segregation of each team?s duties
Processing payments for Commercial accounts as specified by the client
Submitting appropriate accounts to outside collection agencies
Reviewing and processing Smart Pay recalculations on Commercial accounts monthly
Advising management of problems or discrepancies as they arise
Assisting their team during month end close out
Acting as primary back up to the Delivery Coordinator
At minimum, the candidate must possess:
HS diploma with some college preferred; emphasis in accounting, business administration, or management
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional corporate commercial collections work
At minimum, the candidate must have applied experience in:
Proficiency with Microsoft products such as: Word, Outlook, and Excel
At minimum, the candidate must be able to demonstrate:
Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Well-organized with multi-tasking skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to analyze technical problems and come up with solutions
