Systems Integrator Engineer Job Opening in ATLANTA, Georgia - Job Description
? Work with the IT manager and Project Manager to ensure that all aspects of the OPTCS project are progressing appropriately.
? Oversee the sub-projects required to support a next-Gen Terminal Operating System.
? Conduct analysis and coordination for vendor based Hardware deployment strategy, drive rollout planning and manage vendor relationships.
? Facilitate requirements development process to ensure development of high quality and comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements.
? Coordinate and work closely with IT personnel to define hardware requirements.
? Ensure that the design covers all requirements in scope for a particular release.
? Work with the design and development teams to ensure that they have a good understanding of the application/system that is being created.
? Ensure thorough QA testing that covers all requirements.
? Coordinate testing of software releases with all parties concerned.
? Effectively communicate requirements, limitations, and roadblocks with all parties during the applications development process.
? Develop release management process for widely distributed software with back office convergence.
? Coordinate with the business partners to ensure that documented requirements are satisfied during the software development process and by the end product.
? Coordinate with software vendors and end users to create specifications for Change Requests.
? Evaluate the effectiveness of internal processes and propose improvements.
? Maintain a high level of initiative and attention to detail during daily operations.
? Organize and conduct weekly status updates including the preparation of status reports.
? Develop presentations for all governance committee updates.
? Promote strong teamwork ethic and customer support focus.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
? Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an enterprise information technology environment performing SI duties for large projects
? Knowledge in Object Oriented programming concepts
? Experience supporting mission critical applications
? Experience with system engineering methodology and tools
? Experience in problem-solving and customer training
? Experience with project management practices and principles
? Experience developing applications using SDLC methodology
? Experience with testing methodologies and strategies
? Experience with the use of testing tools such as HPQC
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills
? Strong time management and organizational skills
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Excellent customer support and training skills
? Experience with development and deployment of large scale enterprise applications
? Experience with architecting and deploying systems management solutions for IoT stacks
? Strong management and coordination skills for multi-site hardware and software deployment strategies
? Experience in and knowledge of UML based requirements using:
o Use Cases
o Activity Diagrams
o Domain Models
? Strong teamwork ethics
Preferred:
? Experience with TIBCO BE/BW
? Familiarity with Intermodal and/or railroad business
? Experience working as a solutions or an enterprise architect
