Application Developer Job Opening in Fairborn, Ohio - Application Developer technology is partnering with a local dayton company to find a java developer/architect. if you are interested in applying for this opportunity, please send your updated resume to nick carmel at . general description this position provides application development support to the air force air force office of special investigations in quantico, va. the successful candidate provides system analysis support, application development, test, implementation and post-implementation support for the data mediation layer of the afosi?s case management software. specific tasks include performing functional and technical design, developing application code, performing unit and integration testing, installing the application on government hardware, supporting user acceptance testing, and providing post-implementation support. duties and responsibilities the successful candidate will perform the following: ? application analysis to finalize the overall technical solution for the updated application using a combination of documentation and existing application code. ? using an agile method, decompose the application into user stories, features and sprints. ? perform functional and technical design for each sprint. ? develop each sprint and perform unit testing of each sprint. ? once developed, perform integration testing of the complete application across all sprints. ? develop informal training aids for the user community and perform hands-on training for each user. ? install the updated application, support user testing, and provide post-implementation support for the user community. specialized knowledge the successful candidate will have knowledge and expertise in the following areas: ? java, j2ee framework, jre, ? windows 10 compatibility / resolution, ? windows ce / embedded / handheld, ? basic relational databases: microsoft sql server, oracle, ? xml, xquery, xsl, ? software debugging, ? gui design, ? test-driven development, ? object oriented analysis and design, and ? web programming. education bachelor's degree in information systems related fields of study. professional certifications certifications in one of the following is preferred: certified information systems security professional (cissp), security+ clearance active u.s. security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance experience 5+ years of experience in application development. u.s. citizen or similar must be a u.s. citizen other characteristics (e.g., personal or language) excellent oral, written, and communication in english. must be able to work in a team environment with members that include personnel from other companies, government program management and administrative personnel, and technical staff members. this position will require travel to quantico, va on three occasions over an eight month period. working conditions, including location dayton, ohio client duty hours monday through friday.
