OCH Health System in Gravette, Arkansas has an immediate opening for a PRN Radiology CT Tech within our Radiology department.

Job Summary: Independently, or under the direct supervision of a physician, performs radiology/CT procedures consistent with the established standard of medical care in radiology, following policies and protocols using established anatomical positioning and physiology to produce optimum images, while keeping patient welfare, confidentiality and comfort a top priority. Consistently selects and operate radiology and CT equipment according to departmental standards in order to obtain optimum quality images in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians. Uses cognitive radiology skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images. Accurately and consistently obtains patient history and clinical data for correlation with Radiological and Computed Tomography exams. Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patient?s while they are in the radiographer?s care. Communicate effectively with the patient and the health care team, recognizing the special nature of radiological and computed tomography examinations and patient?s needs.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 1 year of hire.
Certified by the State of Arkansas to practice and administer radiation.
Registered in CT within 1 year of hire unless unable to meet exam requirement, then must meet with manager to make arrangements to fulfill exam requirements.
Current BLS certification upon hire or BLS certification must be obtained during orientation period or at next available scheduled class.
One year of experience under a Board Certified Radiologist preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty (ies) as appropriate.
