Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent Quality Assurance to the Data team, Non Device teams, Regulatory, Document Control and other software teams in a non-test role as needed.
Must be comfortable reviewing, creating and approving project documentation from both a technical and quality perspective.
Work with Dexcom QA teams in San Diego, Portland and other locations to ensure quality compliance for regulated projects.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the Quality and Regulatory Departments on scalable data platforms, Big Data technologies, mobile and desktop applications.
Work closely with Business Intelligence, Data Scientists, R&D, Software Applications and IT engineering as needed.
Participate in weekly project meetings to provide status updates and contribute to the design of the software.
Required Qualifications:
Expertise in reading code and scripting languages.
Expertise using past technical knowledge to understand, review and approve complex project documentation pertaining to the functional, interface, software architecture, database, and operational aspects of a large data system.
Experience working in a regulated environment.
Ability to analyze and provide input as a "Subject Matter Expert".
Ability to work effectively within a Waterfall, Agile or hybrid software development lifecycle.
Ability to challenge designs, verification efforts and approaches through effective and professional communication.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
Self-motivated, flexible, attention to detail and can think outside the box.
Ability to inspect code within one of these preferred programming languages (Java, Python or Scala).
Experience working within a Quality capacity supporting cloud based systems (Azure, AWS and Google Cloud).
Experience working within a Quality capacity supporting data platforms, large data sets and big data tools.
Preferred Quality Qualifications:
Expertise or working knowledge of IEC 62304:2006+AMD1:2015.
Expertise or working knowledge of General Principles of Software Validation; Final Guidance for Industry and FDA Staff.
Expertise or working knowledge of Food and Drug Administration 21 CFR PART 11, Electronic Records; Electronic Signatures.
Expertise or working knowledge of Food and Drug Administration 21 CFR PART 820, Quality System Regulation.
