The Coated Product business operates in the United States, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, with its headquarters based in Singapore. This joint venture provides a strong platform to capture growth in new market segments. ASC Profiles LLC and Steelscape LLC are part of the NS BlueScope Coated Products business in the United States.
ASC Profiles LLC is the leading manufacturer of steel roof and wall products and structural roof and floor deck in the Western U.S., servicing customers from eight locations. ASC Profiles services various segments of the steel construction industry through its three divisions, AEP Span, ASC Steel Deck and ASC Building Products.
Steelscape, LLC is a national supplier of metallic-coated and pre-painted steel. Aimed at servicing the construction industry, Steelscape?s products can be used for a wide range of applications from metal buildings to architectural roofing to decking and framing. Steelscape?s facilities, located in Kalama, Washington; and Rancho Cucamonga, California are strategically located near major truck, ship and rail routes to best serve the Western U.S. market.

The Shared Service Department is responsible for the execution and handling of all SAP transactional activities in accounting for the Steelscape and ASC operations including but not limited to; accounts payable, cash collection, cash management and fixed assets.
This team is also responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all financial and regulatory accounting functions. The team will support the strategic and operational objectives of the company while protecting the company?s assets by establishing and enforcing financial policies and controls while building collaborative relationships throughout all levels of the organization.
ROLE SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The role is primarily responsible for:
Report, maintain and manage all aspects of fixed asset subsystem
Manage and report on capital expenditures for the organization
Responsible for cash reporting activities for the organization
Audit employee expense reports
Prepare month-end entries and account reconciliations for areas of responsibilities
Provide program administrative responsibilities for American Express and Concur (Expense & Travel Systems)
Timely and accurate submission of monthly financial information
Coordinate and manage tax audits as necessary
Prioritize daily and weekly tasks in order to accomplish audit reviews
Continuously seek improved methods and procedures that will satisfy both control objectives and maximize the effectiveness of company resources
Other accounting duties as required
This position requires normal lifting, walking, and sitting associated with an office position

EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCE REQUIRED
Experience and Qualifications
BA/BS Degree in Accounting required - large public and/or manufacturing industry experience is desired
1-3 years of practical accounting experience preferred
PC competent (including Microsoft Office; Excel and Word)
Knowledge of Integrated accounting system or ERP, preferably SAP
