Summary of Position Requirements
The Estimating/Project Manager?s responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management including but not limited to project planning, budget management, stringent deadlines, quality management, and safety management while providing technical direction and compliance with quality standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Working with the job foreman to simplify and streamline scheduling and budgets.
Work with management to create the teams and develop the goals and objectives of each project and assign individual responsibilities.
Work with accounting to make invoice approvals more efficient.
Work with accounting to make sure all client invoicing goes out on time and on schedule.
Work with job foreman to estimate and bid projects as we work thru the contracting process.
Work with management to organize and maintain labor force.
Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking if team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project.
Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule.
Communicate effectively with the job foreman responsible for completing various phases of the project.
Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
Inspection of construction sites.
Ensure project documents are complete.
Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
Able to manage a high volume of projects.
Keep all current jobs on schedule and budget.
Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
Valid Driver?s License with good driving record.
Relevant management experience required.
Minimum 4 years? experience in residential construction management required.
Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
Knowledge of practices and procedures of construction and building codes.
Computer literacy and proficient in MS Office products (Word and Excel).
Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
Possess excellent time management skills.
Must possess organization skills by keeping daily schedules current; maintaining a timely and accurate flow of paperwork.
Some college preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Rocky Mountain Homes offers base salary commensurate with experience, benefits following a 90 day probationary period, benefits as well as life insurance.
