Embedded Software Engineer Job Opening in San Diego, California - Based in San Diego, California, we are a wireless technology startup at the forefront of IoT, mobile payments and RTLS. Due to growth in multiple of our niche markets and an increase in new customer requirements, we have an opening for an Embedded Software Engineer with mid to advanced C/C++ expertise with full lifecycle product development experience. Ideal candidate will be able to work in a team but also independently, with minimal supervision. He or she is a self-starter, has passion to develop high quality, well tested code while meeting the deadlines using agile methodologies.
Skills & Requirements
3+ years of work experience with embedded system C/C++ programming skills
Experience programming for embedded processors (e.g. Atmel, Freescale, TI, ST)
Protocols: I2C, UART, USB, SPI, RS-232, SDIO, TCP/IP
Wireless experience (Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRa, 802.15.4)
Working knowledge of Linux, Android, Windows Embedded or RTOS
Proficiency with GIT version and change control
Excellent written and communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
Experience in GUI development a plus (QT, Android, Windows)
Proficiency with lab tools (e.g. JTAG, ETM, Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Logic Analyzers)
Experience reading and reviewing schematics.
Experience with automated testing methodology.
Experience with code coverage and static analysis tools.
