Sales Representative Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - We are currently seeking a qualified individual for a Sales Representative position, serving Illinois, particurlarly Chicago and suburbs.
This representative will be primarily responsible for developing and supporting high-end residential and commercial business in the Architectural and construction community. All sales activities will be specific to your assigned territory and are focused in the following areas: Architectural, Dealer, General Contractor and Developer. The goal of the position is to support, develop and drive top line sales growth of Superior Windows & Doors business.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2 years in windows business and window sales required!!!
College degree preferred; minimum of high school diploma
Demonstrated experience in sales goal achievement that have consistently exceeded performance expectations. Strong sales/customer service skills
Knowledge of general business and architectural design, ability to interpret specifications and architectural drawings
Demonstrated ability to develop strong business relationships with trade customers, partners and peers
Product knowledge of basic residential construction practices as well as specific knowledge of the enterprise product line. A strong knowledge of SWD window and door products
Able to assist with blueprint takeoffs, job site visits and measures
Showcase presentation skills, both in group and one-on-one situations. Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to prioritize/plan work resulting in efficient results. Excellent time management and long term planning
Proficient computer skills (familiar with Microsoft Office suite- Word, Excel, Power Point)
Willing to travel. Must have valid driver?s license
This is a full-time employment position with high income potential plus a great opportunity for career growth and advancement. Starting at the latest in September. Minimum of 2 referencies required.
JOB DUTIES
Represent SWD in an upstanding professional manner
Present and sell company products and sales programs
Increase company?s sales and profits from existing and potential customers - targeting key accounts and prospects via phone, visiting jobsites or customer facilities
Perform presentations for home builders and architects (especially Lunch & Learn presentation)
Minimum 15-20 cold calls per day
Prepare sales plans and call schedules based on analysis of provided data and market opportunities
Maintain full, complete, accurate and detailed records of all sales activities and have them available for inspection and audit
Secure opportunities for customer quotation and provide timely follow-ups
Identify and resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, current/new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
Recommend changes in products, service and policy
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the showroom - organizing as needed
Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, monthly and annual territory analyses
