Federal Financial Consultant Job Opening in Arlington, Virginia - The Federal Financial Consultant serves as a member of a Functional Team, supporting the Office of Financial Management and Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) efforts. The team member will be required to gain a working knowledge of business processes, internal controls, and systems in support of client efforts to achieve audit readiness. Depending on the audit segments under investigation, the Federal Financial Consultant is expected to apply subject matter expertise supporting Real Property, and Construction in Progress.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field
5-6 years of experience in one or more of the following capabilities: Auditing, Accounting and/or Financial Management
2 years of experience with MS Office applications (Specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
2-5 years of experience executing DoD operations and business type supporting SBA
Basic understanding of basic accounting principles and terminology, including knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and/or OMB Circular A-123 documentation, testing and reporting requirements.
