Assistant Controller Job Opening in Manassas, Virginia - SNI Financial is looking for an Assistant Controller who is dedicated and committed to providing safety, quality and exceptional service. This individual will be expected to meet the following requirements and complete the following day-to-day tasks:
Staff training, supervision, annual performance reviews
Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Setup Cash Flow projection sheet for month
Check deposits and auto withdrawals against bank weekly
Reconcile operating account monthly
Direct deposit and Payroll tax deposits
Quarterly tax filings
Standard & Monthly recurring JE?s
Accrue EOM payroll burdens & Labor burden G/L allocation
Setup new assets as needed, including depreciation calcs
Department equip timecards
Fuel system uploads to Viewpoint; billing of fuel to third parties
Equipment cost allocations & other items on Equip cost checklist
Run equipment cost reports
Prep annual property tax returns
PM and Supervision costs over/under-applied
Intercompany account ?bills? and recons
Accrued expenses
Setup annual budget in Viewpoint and Excel budget report
Update projections quarterly
Submit 401K funds to ADP
Prep schedules and entries for annual F/S review
Additional tasks will be provided once a resume is submitted.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
MBA and/or CPA nice to have but not required
6-10 years of previous work experience - construction
Management experience: must be a good delegator of tasks
Great oral and written communication skills; interpersonal communications
Viewpoint, Timberline, JD Edwards, ERP, cost accounting, & strong Excel experience
