ASME Code Vessel Estimator Job Opening in Mobile, Alabama - Mitternight, a Local Fabricator, are seeking a professional skilled individual for a ASME Code Vessel Estimator position for its facility located in Satsuma, AL.
Responsibilities:
Aggregate cost inputs for ASME Pressure vessels, heat exchangers, equipment and other steel fabrications.
Develops bid cost estimates for vessels targeted for quotation by sales
Reviews and comments on technical and commercial specifications
Prepares material takeoffs to obtain market pricing bids
Coordinates with production to obtain production man hour costs to fabricate vessels
Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors
Review material and labor requirements, to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components
Provides description/assists with writing specifications for 3rd party contract services such as painting, testing and other related services to purchasing to obtain market pricing
Stores and retains records and other documents associated with the gathering of costs for estimating
Experience/Minimum Requirements:
Seven (7) + years experience as an estimator. ASME pressure vessel fabrication experience a plus
Four year college business degree preferred, or High School graduate
Managing processes, Microsoft Excel, Word Software, developing standards, analyzing information, developing budgets, knowledge of AutoCad and other types of plotting software familiarity of ASME code materials, weld processes , vessel construction a plus
Must have leadership, communication skills and time management skills.
