Fred?s Inc . (Fred?s) and subsidiaries operate in 15 states in the south-eastern United States with 304 full-service pharmacy departments located within Fred?s stores, including four franchised locations. Additionally, Fred?s Inc. has 57 Xpress pharmacy locations, three specialty pharmacy locations and more than 650 discount general merchandise stores chain-wide. Fred's stocks more than 12,000 frequently purchased items addressing the daily needs of its customers.
The Market Development Representative (MDR) has primary responsibility to drive patient referrals from community physicians and other healthcare professionals, and sales growth for assigned Fred?s Pharmacy retail locations through implementation of a targeted sales approach. The MDR will provide the direct link between Fred?s Pharmacy retail locations and community healthcare professionals and will develop and maintain direct referral relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Company.
Engage with and educate targeted healthcare professionals about the benefits of refering patients to assigned Fred?s Pharmacy retail locations using effective selling skills.
Assess customer needs and promote availability of most relevant pharmacy services including:
Fred?s comprehensive Diabetes program
Sterile and non-sterile compounding service.
Specialty pharmacy services.
Build positive, trusting relationships to influence targeted customers in the decision-making process.
Provide pharmacy product promotional information.
Liaise with assigned Company Pharmacy retail locations to build partnership/working relationship.
Work with the team to develop strategies and implement strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message.
Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans via OnCall?s CRM.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include
Bachelor?s required.
Must have 3+ years of progressive sales experience within the context of physician relationships (pharmaceuticals, devices, etc.).
Excellent interpersonal, human relations, and negotiation skills.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Must have ability to work independently and throughout the system to solve problems.
Must possess strong service orientation with sensitivity to physician needs.
Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians and all levels of staff.
Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must have own transportation and a valid driver?s license.
THE POSITION OFFERS
Base salary (range): $75,000 - $85,000 based on experience.
Bonus: Up to 30% of base.
Comprehensive benefits package.

Reimbursement for all expenses.
