Mid-Level Provider for Brazoria County Clinic Job Opening in Angleton, Texas - A busy family practice clinic in Angleton, TX seeks an experienced Mid-Level provider. Responsible for participating in the delivery of comprehensive on-site medical delivery of family practice at an employer?s near-site clinic. Will provide care under the supervision of a Texas licensed physician according to Standards of Practice and in compliance with the Texas Board of Medicine regulations. Works under general supervision with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
Job Duties:
Perform comprehensive physical assessment of patients.
Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient?s condition.
Diagnose and treat diseases, disorders and injuries based on patient?s medical history and results of physical assessment and refer patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment.
Prescribe medications and therapies for treatment and preventive care.
Instruct patients and their families regarding procedures performed, home care, and follow-up visits.
Direct professional and ancillary health care staff during treatment of patients.
Respond to inquiries from staff and patients regarding preventive health and treatments.
Compile patient medical data including health history, treatment plans, results of physical examination, etc. and record in electronic medical record.
Plan, promote, demonstrate, recommend and coordinate high standards of medical practice.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Master?s degree in nursing or Doctorate of Nursing required. Nurse Practitioner certification, state licensure and at least 2 years of family practice experience for all NP applicants.
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant's program and licensure by the TMB required for all PA candidates.
ACLS or CPR certification is required. Proficiency using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is desired. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration for the purpose of writing prescriptions.
Current Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card.
Current Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers.
Proficient on working with Microsoft Office products and Electronic Medical Records.
