Quality (QC) Shift Supervisor Job Opening in Canton, Mississippi - Growing Quality inspection and containment company seeking a lead supervisor, to direct and support front line supervisors. Must manage all quality inspection and containment projects and shift responsibilities, in addition to managing all day to day operations during the shift with focus on customer satisfaction. Track and record daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Human Resources. Shift Supervisors manage multiple site operations as needed, develop work instructions, and monitor and train all inspectors on work instructions compliance. Supervisors and train and monitor Senior Inspectors in work instruction development, auditing, and customer relations.
**Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing facility to be considered.
Job Requirements:

· Implement (based on customer specifications) project startup, shutdown, and changeover.
· Manage shift schedule to include: work station , employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
· Lead inspectors by demonstrating professionalism, impartiality, and exceptional business ethics and values in all operations and personnel matters.
· Train and coach inspectors, insure that they follow work instructions and perform to required QIC ? customer standards.
· Handle disciplinary issues with objectivity and fairness; inform/include Operations Supervisor and General Manager when needed.
· Available to work flexible hours, including multiple shifts.
· Communicate concerns, issues, recommendations, and challenges to Operations Manager in a timely manner.
· Investigate and solve problems with containment operations, proactively;
· Use problem solving processes to drive continuous improvement.
· Solicit help from Operations Manager when attempts to resolve an issue are unsuccessful; provide documentation on status at time of request.
· Communicate staffing needs to Service Specialist once notice of new jobs (requiring additional staff) is received.
· Manage daily tools and personal protective equipment usage.
· Maintain, document, and report daily KPI data to Service Specialist.
· Complete shift paper work, including daily data tracking and recording, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
· Provide hands-on assistance with containment projects when needed.
· Complete all other duties, as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate weights of 10 ? 50 pounds for extended periods of time.
· Hand/eye coordination with arm/hand/finger dexterity including the ability to grasp with visual acuity.
· 20/20 vision/corrected vision with no color blindness
· Ability to pass initial and subsequent random drug screenings.
· Ability to pass background check.
Requirements:
· Ability to read, write, comprehend, and implement standard work instructions, and teach others to development them when necessary.
· Must be able to adapt in a fast pace environment.
· Must have at least 1 of supervisory experience within a manufacturing facility.
· Must have experience managing team members with objectivity and fairness.
· Possess and exhibit good interpersonal skills (oral and written).
· Knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment along with experience in a manufacturing environment are valuable assets for this position.
· Bachelor?s degree preferred.
· Must have at least two years of quality containment experience.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
