Western Regional Facilities Manager Job Opening in Hillsboro, Oregon - As one of the largest public refrigerated warehousing companies in the U.S., Henningsen Cold Storage delivers award-winning refrigerated logistics through a national warehouse network totaling more than 53 million cubic feet of multi-temperature controlled storage.
We currently have an opening on our facilities team for a Regional Facilities Manager. This is a hands-on position with numerous areas of responsibility including refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and buildings and grounds. This position also provides support to and oversight of facility Chief Engineers at assigned locations.
Specific Duties:
Perform annual facility engineering and safety audits at assigned facilities.
Assist with or perform onsite project management at facilities.
Assist with writing and review of all work orders and equipment purchase proposals.
Assist with capital budget development (project identification and prioritization).
Provide coverage for Chief Engineers when they are on vacation or other leave.
Quarterly site visits to each assigned facility.
Initial and ongoing training and development of Chief and Assistant Engineers, and Chief Engineer Trainees at assigned facilities.
Goals development and tracking for chief engineers at assigned facilities.
Perform annual performance reviews of engineering staffs at assigned facilities
Assist with writing of corporate level safety, training and other programs policies and procedures to meet regulatory compliance requirements
Support all SQF/Food Safety programs
Identify enhancing opportunities, support continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure accurate records are kept for maintenance and repair activities at assigned facilities.
Ensure assigned facilities comply with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Travel up to 40%
Required :
High school diploma or GED and ten years general maintenance or mechanical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of five years of supervisory or management experience.
Experience with Microsoft Word Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Budgeting and other general business function experience.
Good driving record for past three years.
Minimum five years of experience and advanced knowledge of safety regulations and PSM/RMP programs.
RETA CIRO certification.
Preferred :
Associate or Bachelor degree in engineering or relevant trade
