Summary
The Marketing Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the sales and marketing departments by being a resource to assist in a variety of tasks including building sales pipeline by transitioning customer inquiries into qualified leads for the sales team and assisting in the development and management of social media and digital marketing initiatives. This position is located at our corporate office in Charlottesville, VA and reports directly to the VP, Marketing.
Marketing & Sales Responsibilities
Assist in development and execution of marketing activities associated with prospecting, lead generation, content marketing, competitive intelligence/market research and industry tradeshow events.
Assist in the development of sales, marketing and promotion materials including print and digital (website copy emails, social media posts, case studies, white papers, presentations, etc) in consultation with VP, Marketing.
Assist in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns, utilizing marketing automation and CRM tools
Manage execution of social media strategy, produce and manage content, identify and reach target audiences, access and report results
Graphic design experience with the ability to create visually appealing materials
Other marketing or administrative duties as requested
Support sales team in pre-sales through prospecting new companies, preparing presentations, sending marketing materials and setting appointments.
Interact with prospects via phone, email and live chat and route to appropriate personnel.
Manage data for accounts, contacts, leads and opportunities in CRM system
Requirements
2+ years of sales or marketing experience
Experience managing social media - Facebook, , Twitter, etc for organizations
Familiar with sales and marketing concepts and practices
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritze
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
CRM Management (Salesforce, etc.)
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with a flexible schedule window to be determined, between 7:00 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Travel ? Less than 10% annual travel may be required to attend training and/or industry trade show events as needed.
