Health Insurance Follow Up & Recovery Specialist Job Opening in Fremont, California - Rubixis is looking for a Healthcare Insurance Follow-up person with a minimum of 2-3 years Revenue Cycle experience, with exposure to healthcare collections, and revenue cycle, and who will be able to manage day-to-day operational tasks associated with medical insurance billing and follow up. This position requires detailed understanding of insurance follow-up (i.e. resolving non-paid, denied, under-paid, and rejected claims) for healthcare providers and collection process
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Project Manager, the person will be involved in following day-to-day operational objectives:
Learn and understand Rubixis? platform and the various resources available.
Working an assigned number of accounts from start to finish successfully, and in a timely manner.
Calling healthcare insurance companies & providers to move accounts forward in the payment process.
Billing, cash posting, and collections on accounts in compliance with billing regulations, policies and procedures.
Investigate all insurance payments that deviate from expected payment. Document rationale and provide summary to manager.
Communicate with clients to understand their problems, and work with team members to provide solutions.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum
2+ years of experience in insurance billing and follow-up, including appealing denials and underpayments from insurance payers like Medicare, Medi-Cal, Work Comp., Commercial payers etc
Good understanding of revenue cycle.
Basic understanding of HIT systems like EPIC, Paragon, Zirmed etc.
Problem solving / analytical skills
Organized and detail oriented
Good to Have
Bachelor's degree
Detailed knowledge of EPIC, Medassets, Paragon, ePremis and other technologies
Advanced MS Excel skills
