JOB SUMMARY:
This Tax Staff Accountant position is primarily responsible for completing tax reporting and compliance with respect to Business Licenses and Annual Reports. Completes tax returns accurately and timely to minimize tax obligations. Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and file business licenses in multiple jurisdictions
Regular analysis and review of all current state rules, statutes, and regulations to ensure compliance
Maintain the renewals of business licenses and corporate annual reports
Filing of electronic or other forms of tax payments
Liaison with branch managers to gather information
Maintenance of tax schedules and supporting documentation
Information support lead to external tax preparers
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of Business Licenses and Annual Reporting rules
Intermediate Excel
Business Licenses reporting experience
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: College degree preferred.
LICENSES: None required
EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years minimum in tax preparer role
