PM Care Provider Job Opening in Nisswa, Minnesota - Provide for the daily physical care of residents. Assist residents with getting up, toileting, washing,showering, dressing, grooming, brushing teeth, and with other personal hygiene and assistance needs.
Provide an environment that enhances the psychological well being of residents.
Assist and serve meals to residents.
Clean up the dining room and set up for the next meal.
Review the assignment sheets and service plan for each resident's care and ensure completion.
Interact with family members and others on care issues.
Note changes in a resident's condition on a day-to-day basis and inform management staff of changes.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
1 Year experience working with older adults, preferably in providing some personal care
Ability to use computers and software applications including Word and Excel
Knowledge of healthcare, dementia care and/or aging issues
Skilled at establishing trust relationships with customers
Must understand and communicate using specialized medical terminology
Must be punctual, with a good attendance record
Must be able to remain calm in difficult or unusual circumstances
Promoted independence, not dependence with residents offering choices and fostering self-help skills
Must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing situations
Must be compassionate and work with tact and ethical awareness
Must work as a team member with other personnel, supervisor, and R.N.
Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills
Must be able to learn and assist in other areas of the facility.
Must be able to document as required.
Must be able to report needs of supplies to Director of Resident Services.
Must be able to offer suggestions and ideas for improvements.\
Must follow dress code; maintain good personal hygiene and grooming.
