Portfolio Accountant Job Opening in Boston, Massachusetts - Dynamic, fast growing private real estate investment management firm is in need of a Portfolio Accountant in their Boston headquarter office to perform the following job functions:
Assist in the review of monthly property management reporting packages, ensuring accuracy in tenant ledger activity, and general ledger journal entries.
Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecast process.
Assist in debt compliance program as well as the monitoring the loan reserve draws and balances on a constant basis.
Assist in the year end audit and tax preparation process.
Any ad-hoc projects that may arise.
Candidates with experience that they feel exceeds the above may be considered for a Senior Portfolio Accountant position.

Must have undergraduate degree in accounting with 1-3 years of real estate accounting experience. Strong preference given to those with Yardi experience, particularly those with strong tenant ledger experience. Understanding of accrual based accounting is a must.
