MSP Sales IT Account Executive Job Opening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Job Description As an Account Executive you will be the face and driving force of the company. You will be expected to partner with new customers and develop existing accounts. Guiding customers to choose the right technology products and services to meet their IT needs, MTG's AEs offer our customers the peace of mind knowing that their IT will be met by a leading IT company. Areas of focus include Managed Services, Hosted Services, product & deployment services.
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing client relationships and meeting monthly sales goals selling technology products and services to our customers. We expect the AE will have the necessary tools to be well-versed in technology sales and customer service.
The primary function of the Account Executive is as follows:
Manage existing customers
Achieve target level of new accounts in the assigned territory
Penetrate the educational and commercial markets by identifying, qualifying, and closing prospective target accounts
Increase existing account penetration through the sale of the breadth of the company?s product and service offerings
Performing Client Business Reviews (CBRs)
Coordinate the identification and achievement of strategic partnerships to facilitate strategic growth
Provide monthly pipeline (opportunity) forecasts
Maintain minimum quarterly sales results for planning
The Account Executive must be able to understand and articulate the business advantages that MTG products and services provide to both the educational and commercial markets and be able to articulate those advantages to both senior business executives and technicians. The MTG Account Executive must be skilled in selling to both the educational and commercial markets and build relationships with strategic partners in both markets. The MTG
Account Executive must understand and anticipate upcoming business needs and processes and be able to craft our solutions to incorporate these needs.
Expectations and Responsibilities
Generate sales of MTG product/service offerings.
Understand and articulate the business advantages that MTG provides and be able to articulate those advantages to both senior level business executives and IT professionals.
Open a defined number of new client accounts within the calendar year.
Achieve x% of Product (Hardware/Software) Annual Gross profit quota for the calendar year (To be determined after first quarter).
Achieve x% of MTG Combined Services Gross Revenue quota for calendar year (To be determined after first quarter). Combined Services includes Managed and MTG Engineering Services.
Achieve a satisfactory combination of prospects and opportunities within the four (4) phases of the sales pipeline: Discovery, Qualify, Proposal, and Close. Consistently manage to a qualified funnel, 2 times your annual sales quota objectives.
Identify decision-makers within an account in order to formulate a strategy for that account. This will require working with executives at multiple levels within the account.
Develop a successful territory-calling (customer identification and acquisition) and strategy for your customers and prospects.
Achieve your sales plan goals by constantly closing and qualifying in/out of your opportunities. Engage multiple stakeholders; understand their business challenges, existing relationships and decision-making process.
Coordinate internal resources in all phases of the sales cycle in concert with the appropriate MTG resource(s). Coordinate the use of MTG personnel during the sales cycle to bring the correct resources to the account at the correct times throughout the sales process.
Collaborate with executive management and the delivery organization within MTG for the successful delivery of customer meetings, presentations, proposals and delivery of engagements.
Generate effective and high quality customer
Define and implement business development relationships targeted at expanding the revenue opportunities within a territory. Develop a network of relationships and resources that allow you to call high and wide such as potential business partnerships and reference clients.
Track all sales activities and opportunities on a daily/weekly basis. This includes tracking all particulars on your opportunities including but not limited to, competition, meeting dates, budget, decision makers, etc.
Provide MTG Management sales status, market trend and competitive information.
Provide assistance for the accounts receivables process if needed.
Gain customers agreement to be a reference account for MTG where applicable.
Ensure your involvement in on-going account management activities to develop additional business opportunities within your accounts, increase account penetration through the sales of the breadth of company?s product/service offerings.
Qualifications Qualified candidates should possess an IT background with proven IT sales experience, strong communication skills, be able to demonstrate an ability to quickly learn new information and be able to verbally communicate a pattern of success. The qualified candidate should have previous sales and/or inside sales experience with a successful track record of meeting sales goals and have a basic knowledge of computer hardware/software.
Additional Qualifications
BS/BA degree in Information Technology, MIS or Sales
Moderate to Advanced Computer Skills
Ability to Multitask
Must have effective written/verbal communication skills and effective internal/external customer relations skills.
Willing to travel locally in the Greater Philadelphia area for account management and nationally for training and sales events.
Have a can do attitude and a self-starter take ownership approach.
Misc. This position will be out of our Philadelphia PA corporate location, with regular travel in the Greater Philadelphia area. There is a base salary along with a very aggressive sales driven commission plan. MTG supplies a company car for business related out of office travel. All employees are entitled to Health Benefits, 401K plan, bonuses and additional compensation opportunities for job performance.

Salary: $40-$60k Base + $40-$60k Commissions at Plan based on experience and demonstrated capabilities.
