Certified Medication Aide - 2nd & 3rd Shift Job Opening in Pittsburg, Kansas - POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for distribution of medication per physician orders to residents and participants. Performs delegated activities; including activities of daily living and basic nursing care procedures for those we serve. Performs duties and presents oneself in a manner that would lead to high levels of satisfaction. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver nursing care which includes administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician consistent with ministry policies and
Order medications from pharmacy per ministry policy
Provides support with Activities of Daily Living as assigned in a safe manner, consistent with the policies and procedures of the
Documents tasks completed per ministry
Contributes to resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as
Contributes to continuity of care by effectively communicating services provided and changes in the resident's condition or family interactions in a timely
Complies with ministry?s infection control policies and
Other duties as
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
A minimum of one year experience as a Certified Medication Aide/Technician is preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Certified Medication Aide/Technician (CMA/CMT) certification in the state which employed
CPR certification preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

WORKING CONDITIONS CATEGORY I
Position is Category I of Potential Exposure. Use of appropriate Personal Protective
