Location: Novi, Michigan
Objective of the Position: This position provides oversight to the day to day activities of the finance team at each site/plant and ensures the companies finance function is organized and efficient and produces accurate financial and management accounts. This is as corporate position.
Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
Management of the finance function and overseeing the finance team.
Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows.
Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes.
Preparation of Monthly Consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet.
Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports.
Financial modelling and analysis.
Cash management and treasury duties.
Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
Management Reporting :
Financial Management reporting for the organization as required
Ensure financial management reporting and processes are in place
Prepare a monthly Management Reporting Package
Present monthly and year-to-date reporting of financials with accompanying analysis of results
Report performance to budget and forecast to plan and assist in actions to alter business performance
Budgeting and Financial Modelling :
Lead the annual business plan development and budgeting process
Lead the monthly and quarterly outlook process
Lead financial modelling and analysis to support the development of long term strategic initiatives and plans
What positions will the Controller supervise?:
accountants, financial analyst, cost estimators, etc.

Supervise employees, Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of dept. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance
Other:
Manage, develop and train plant controllers responsible for plants
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting or closely related field.
Requires a minimum 5 to 7 years? experience controlling experience for an automotive supplier.
Two years? experience supervising others.
Extensive SAP experience related to accounting modules.
Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be very strong Microsoft Office especially MS Excel.
Key Must Have?s:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Finance or closely related field.
Minimum 5 to 7 years? experience controlling experience for an automotive supplier.
Strong Microsoft Office especially MS Excel.
Extensive SAP proficiency
Deadline driven
Have a sense of accurate, meticulous, must work with a sense of urgency.
Experience managing 5 or more people (accountants, financial analyst, cost estimators, etc.)
Great communication skills to speak with executive level management, (i.e. President. Also , coordination on weekly and monthly basis.)
Direct and straight to the point communication style
Knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, etc.
Billion dollar industry experience, preferably automotive.
Very polished
Financial modeling and analysis
Customer tooling, SAP, and prototype
Mature and responsible in his or her work
Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
Travel:
15%- Brighton, Wixom, SC, AL ?down south once a quarter.
5%-Initial training in Germany

Salary: $100,000.00 to $130,000.00 /year
