Staff Accountant Job Opening in Wixom, Michigan - FRIMO Inc. is a machine build and tooling company which designs and manufactures state of the art, complex tooling and machinery for automotive interiors. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant, who will provide support for the company and its subsidiaries, including general ledger accountability, financial reporting, accounts payable, and payroll processing. This position will report to the Financial Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting:
Assist with month end close process
Prepare and post monthly journal entries
Assist in internal and external monthly reporting and reconciliations
Ensure all accounting tasks are completed in accordance with GAAP
Prepare account reconciliations for the balance sheet and expense items
Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly
Income statement analysis
Fixed asset and inventory management
Oversee physical inventory and reconciliation
Assist with internal and external audits
Assist with business and tax return preparation
Support other accounting initiatives as required
Special projects as needed
Accounts Payable:
Process accounts payable invoices and checks through SAP system
Match invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies
Payroll:
Process payroll on outsourced payroll program
Employee benefits coordination and administration
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
At least two years of manufacturing experience with a focus on cost accounting functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word
Experience in SAP preferred
Professional, detail-oriented, efficient, and organized
Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, able to make well thought out decisions
Highly trustworthy, discreet, and ethical
Ability to deliver accurate reports and meet expected timelines
Understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Resourceful in the completion of projects, effective at multi-tasking
