Director of Engineering Job Opening in chicago, Illinois - Director of Engineering Culligan is dramatically expanding and aggressively growing our business. We are currently looking for a Director of Engineering to work in our Rosemont, IL Headquarters. Responsibilities: - Manage the manufacturing support engineering activities for our low-cost-country suppliers including QA / Non-Conforming components, tooling re-work programs and vendor regulatory qualifications - Evaluate and Develop Internally and Externally Developed Water Treatment Technologies - Manage the microbiological and research laboratories and personnel - Lead Culligan�s Research & Development activities - Oversee Culligan�s Product Regulatory Function - Develop and manage a research roadmap and technology development plan for the company - Represent Culligan�s commercial interests in appropriate industry trade groups and associations - Work with Product Management, Sales and Engineering to continually develop and refresh the new product pipeline Requirements: - MS/PhD with 15 years experience in Engineering, Water Sciences, Chemistry or Microbiology background with 10 years of experience in the water treatment industry with Water Treatment Industry Recognized Expertise, as demonstrated by publications, presentations and participation in industry technical bodies - Familiarity with the Water Treatment Industry, water chemistry, microbiological processes & systems, media, media, chemical and electrical water treatment equipment - Experience developing technologies and successfully taking technology and/or science from the laboratory into commercially successful products - Experience in Developing and Evaluating Intellectual Property, Patents and Technologies - Five plus years experience managing technical personnel in a scientific laboratory environment We offer an excellent base salary and benefits including , 401K, Life Insurance, Long & Short Term Disability and much more.
