Regional Sales Manager- Eastern USA Job Opening in North Kingstown, Rhode island - Manz USA, Inc. is seeking a Regional Sales Manager. Manz USA, Inc. is the US subsidiary of Manz, AG, one of the world's leading high-tech suppliers of automated production systems.
General Description
Our advanced production equipment covers the most important processing steps for manufacturing displays, touch sensors and other components of smart phones, tablet computers and related equipment. Manz is also a leader in manufacturing equipment for the Li-Ion battery industries for consumer products as well as automotive and other applications. We have experienced enormous growth rates in these sectors and now intend to further strengthen our position by employing a Regional Sales Manager for our Rhode Island office, which is located in North Kingstown. Working out of a home office located in the eastern US is a possibility as well.
In this key position, you are our first contact point to our customers in the eastern part of the US. Together with highly motivated colleagues in our German headquarters as well as in the United States and WW, you will contribute greatly to further develop our enormous potential in these markets.
You are a degreed Engineer with experience in a High-tech Industrial Equipment company. Proven success in Sales and Key Account Management in the Consumer Electronics Industry and/or Energy Storage Industry is expected.
You will collaborate closely with Sales and Engineering teams in the USA, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, and Asia for technical assessment of customers' inquiries as well as for expedient clarification of technical issues. You will travel in America to present and support Manz technologies at customer sites. World-wide travel is required for sales meetings and to accompany customer visits at WW Manz locations.
Qualification and Experience Requirements:
Background and Experience
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering
3-5 years Engineering Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience in a high-tech company involved in industrial capital equipment or similar with proven track record
Preferred experience and strong industry knowledge in consumer electronics manufacturing, battery manufacturing, laser applications, vision systems and glass processing
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong customer orientation
Proven ability to speak and present in front of larger audiences
Proficient use of Microsoft Office products
CRM Experience is expected
Fluency in English language
German and other language skills are a plus
Ability to work in a multicultural environment
Job Functions
Day to day planning, forecasting and selling Manz equipment
Generating new sales opportunities and customer lists with focus on Manz?s strategic goals
Day to day strategic business development activities focused on growing and retaining our customer base
Sales forecasting and data base maintenance
Networking within industry associations and strategic accounts
Representing Manz at trade fares and industry conferences
Presenting informational company product presentations
Planning of customer visits to our manufacturing locations and HQ as well as accompany their visits
Liaising appropriately with inside support resources on customer inquiries, quotations, service requests etc.
Actively participating in national and international sales and marketing meetings
