Some of the key responsibilities:
*Hire, train and supervise Recreation Staff for Whitney Place/Suites
*Develop and implement the therapeutic recreation program; individualized for each Tapestry elder
*Mentoring the recreation personnel who assist with therapeutic activities with Tapestry elders
*Planning and scheduling therapeutic programs and events
*Posting in a conspicuous place a monthly calendar of programs and events
*Participate in interdisciplinary team as requested for pre-move in conferences, family conferences and other team efforts.
*Oversee design, development and implementation of Daily Schedule of Events for all
Traditional Assisted Living neighborhoods.
*Coordinate the volunteer program
*Assist with education of staff through formal/informal in-service instruction.
*Assist with resident adjustment
*Recreational assessment and documentation
**Candidate MUST have two or more years of experience, preferably working with Dementia populations.
