Sales Development/Wine Merchandiser Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - Synergy Fine Wines is seeking to fill a Sales Development & Wine Merchandising Role. This position will focus on new business development. Responsibilities include prospecting, cold calling, setting appointments with prospects and presenting products and wine merchandising.
Responsibilities :
Perform sales support functions to include the use of current point of sale marketing materials, consistent communication with the representative regarding changes in buyer preferences and or out of stock inventory
Reset alcoholic beverages at the store level (i.e. rearranging products using an authorized plan within an assigned territory/set geographic region).
Work flexible hours which include early morning, evenings, and weekends.
Communicate merchandising tactics to accounts
Pack out shelves, build and refresh displays, place POS, stock cold box
Coordinate product resets
Obtain feedback from accounts on effectiveness of consumer programming and report trends to management
Coordinate timing of merchandising activities with salesperson and key account manager
Continual development of industry, channel and brand knowledge
Transition existing accounts and grow business to full potential
Open new accounts to build your territory.
Provide exemplary sales and ongoing customer service for all accounts, in addition to supporting accounts with wine tastings, dinners, events, etc?
Professionally plan and execute supplier market visits in your territory
Attend sales meetings, annual portfolio tastings and other company events.
Execute an overall sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue and placement goals.
Perform other work related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state car registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record. Lift and carry a 45+ pound case of product on a repetitive basis.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Wine/Industry Knowledge to include basic understanding of distribution, wine varietals, and leading spirit categories
Working knowledge of wine and the wine industry REQUIRED.
1-3 years in wine sales or wine/spirits industry
Possess excellent communication and organizational skills; specifically, must be able to stay focused and motivated in maintaining a high level of service to accounts.
