BAW RESONATOR DESIGN ENGINEER Job Opening in SAN JOSE, California - Seeking BAW (Bulk Acoustic Wave) resonator design engineer who will be responsible for new Filter/Duplexer devices from resonator structure to the production release. BAW filter otherwise known as FBAR is mainly used in Cellular Phones. This position involves detailed circuit/structure modeling, design, hands-on characterization, and de-bugging of new resonator designs on the basis of multi-physics simulation. The successful candidate is detail oriented and experienced in Acoustic/RF design. Familiarity with electronics and physics is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop next generation BAW resonator structures and specifications
- Perform device level design and modeling of Micro-structure using ComSol or equivalent multi physics tools
- Complete BAW resonator design of next generation products meeting all specifications
- Write invention disclosures leading to patents for new devices
- Support test development
Requirement:
- BS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Physics with 5 years' related experience or MS with 3+ years related experience.
- Experience designing Acoustic devices, or similar device
- Thorough understanding of electrostatic and piezoelectric actuating
- Strong theoretical understanding of acoustic structural modeling and simulation
- Strong analytical background
- Experience with ADS, Comsol, HFSS), and myCAD
