Staff Accountant Job Opening in Hackensack, New jersey - TAX PREPARER/ STAFF ACCOUNTANT
We are a full service accounting & tax firm providing individuals and small businesses with tax, accounting and payroll services. We provide other services, including: Bankruptcy Petition Preparation, Divorces, Immigration, Translations and Notary Public. Our firm caters to small businesses and individuals in Bergen County and the surrounding areas. We also assist small businesses owners with registering new businesses, establishing adequate cash and internal controls.
Our firm is looking for a personable and smart bilingual (English & Spanish) Tax Preparer/Staff Accountant to join our growing firm. Successful candidates will have the ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced and demanding environment, work directly with clients and have a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities :
Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements.
Assist with filing state sales taxes.
Enter financial information into tax preparation software.
Assist with ad hoc projects and other segments of the business.
Qualifications :
Fluent in English & Spanish ? excellent communication skills required.
Minimum of one year experience with QuickBooks.
Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting.
Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to complete projects timely and accurately.
Ability to learn quickly.
