Population Health Institute Assistant / Executive Assistant Job Opening in Cleveland, Ohio - MetroHealth is home to Cuyahoga County?s only verified Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and it is one of two adult and pediatric burn centers in the state of Ohio verified by the American Burn Association and the Committee on Trauma of the American College of Surgeons. Job Summary :
Performs skilled administrative support duties in support of the Population Health Institute. Prepares reports and uploads data extracts to/from existing operational systems and contract modeling software to support projects, medical cost assessments, and ongoing payor performance monitoring. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Responsibilities :
Contributes to patient safety by supporting the System-wide programs and policies addressing a safe environment for patients and the reporting of safety concerns to the appropriate individuals.
Provides skilled administrative by:
Assisting in handling matters of a nature.
Composing correspondence and other materials related to the assigned area.
Typing routine and complex correspondence (i.e., memos, letters, minutes, speeches, reports, etc.); assisting in their preparation and/or distribution.
Exercising discretionary decision making ability in responding to telephone and written inquiries; screening calls and visitors; relaying messages.
Managing appointment and activity schedules by efficiently scheduling meetings, appointments, and luncheons with various administrators, organizations and other members of the hospital community.
Making travel arrangements, arranging, and confirming hotel reservations.
Setting up and maintaining a variety of files and records, often confidential in nature; performing photocopying and scanning, as required.
Maintaining inventory of supplies, submitting purchase orders, and processing invoices, and tracking expenses.
Maintaining time sheets, as required.
Gathering, recording, and circulating data/materials for use in committees, conferences, speeches and reports.
Designs, implements, and provides ongoing support for standard contract performance reporting and financial analyses of payor proposals.
Works with Director to establish data requirements and standard reports extracts.
Develops procedures and processes to generate and distribute reporting on a regular schedule.
Reviews results for reasonableness, reconciles totals with other sources and traces results through host systems to validate data extracts.
Extracts and uploads data to different payor systems as needed
Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Required :
High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
Two years of related office experience
Relevant work experience in a healthcare/clinical environment.
Proficient in MS Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and learn new technology quickly.
Preferred :
Five years of relevant work experience.
Ability to type at least 60 wpm.
