The Institute for Integrative Health (TIIH) is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization that provides an environment for innovative thinking on health and healthcare, fosters global collaborations, and facilitates the testing and implementation of novel solutions.
Functions:
The Coordinator manages the educational course offerings and the event logistics at the Institute?s headquarters in Baltimore. S(he) manages all aspects of the continuing educational credit hour programs such as: submitting new applications, managing existing CE certificates, maintaining records. The Coordinator will launch the Institute?s new online course delivery system which includes designing content in a LMS (Learning Management System).
S(he) will develop relationships with the local community that promote our educational programs and increase attendance. S(he) works closely with the volunteer committee, establishes and amends volunteer committee bylaws, represents the Institute at community fairs/events and attends all educational programs held at the Institute?s Baltimore location or other venues.
Position Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage logistics of events and training courses. (registration, instructor requests, participant requests, set-up and tear down, clean-up, materials, food, surveys, CEU distribution, AV, etc.)
Manage continuing education program (submit/write new CE applications, manage existing CE certificates, maintain records, etc.)
Assist with finding and negotiate agreements with instructors and speakers. Assist with content development for educational offerings.
Write/research blog content, summary briefs/descriptions of events and assorted correspondence as needed.
Manage a new online training delivery system. Design content training within the system and manage logistics of online registrations.
Build relationships with local communities (businesses, individuals, community groups, apartments, etc.) to promote the Institute?s programs with particular attention to courses held at our headquarters? training facility.
Includes personal visits and delivery of to local community.
Establish relationships with friendly communications and follow up.
Work with the Institutes volunteer committee, managing recruitment, orientation, committee structure, etc.
Work closely with the Director of Communications to coordinate outreach efforts and necessary collateral (brochures, videos, website content, etc.) as needed
Represent the Institute at community Health Fairs and like activities
Pull registration lists and provide periodic updates to appropriate individuals
Attend all educational programs held at TIIH?s headquarters location
Coordinate Calendar of Educational Events
Assist with various TIIH meetings and other duties as assigned
Some travel (< 50 miles) is required
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS in a health, science or education related field
Excellent organizational skills
Technical writing skills and knowledge in a health related field
Ability to promote events & manage event logistics
Confidence meeting and speaking with new people
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Gmail Social media literate
Public speaking skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
Must have reliable transportation to get to off-site events
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced degree and/or experience in a health, science, research or education related field
Community organizing, training and/or partnership experience
Experience with continuing education credit applications
LMS software experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as using a keyboard on computer
Ability to lift and carry certain items weighing up to and including 25
