Subcontract Administrator Job Opening in Reno, Nevada - Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is a prime systems integrator and electronic systems provider known for rapid, innovative, and agile technology solutions. Our corporate headquarters located in Sparks, NV is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator to provide cradle to grave subcontract administration in support of various U.S. Government programs
Minimum 6-10 years of experience in subcontract management.
BS/BA degree required.
Expertise in the FAR/DFARS as required for supplier and subcontract management
Ability to problem solve - applying originality, creativity and initiative
Strong skills to plan, organize, multitask, prioritize, and execute assigned workload to meet multiple deadlines
Detail-oriented, without losing sight of the big picture
Familiar with FAA Supply Chain process
Previous experience administering major subcontracts in a defense environment

* Excellent Price Analysis and Cost Analysis skills are required.
* Comprehensive written, verbal, analytical and general accounting skills
* Must be proficient with MS Office, Lotus Notes and Material Management software

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Perform assignments of varying complexity requiring experience in assigned commodities, knowledge of purchasing policy and procedures and experience in subcontract management. Must understand competitive Sourcing Strategies and be able to execute FAR complaint orders. * Coordinate with engineering, quality and contracts in order to procure assigned items/services and protect the interests of SNC.
Evaluate complex terms and conditions and issue FFP, T&M and Cost Plus type subcontracts. * Work with Program Managers to establish NDA's and develop qualified sources.
Follow-up with subcontractors to ensure delivery schedules and key milestones are achieved
Support proposal efforts with RFP?s/RFQ?s
Maintain subcontract files in audit ready condition
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Manage program centered subcontracts from negotiations through placement, program execution and close-out.
Identify, mitigate and resolve risks/issues while facilitating subcontractor performance in a subcontract management team environment.
Assist with development, maintenance and updates of program specific contractual requirements including subcontract structure, specifications, interface control documents, software requirement documents, test plans/procedures, quality requirements, Statements of Work (SOWs), terms and conditions, payment terms, milestone payment plans, data and hardware deliverable requirements, project/deliverable schedules and RFP?s
Manage and evaluate all data deliverables for and leading approval of these data deliverables in coordination with engineering, quality and the program office
Analyzing critical cost, technical and schedule aspects of proposals paying special attention to price and any exceptions to terms, the SOW, the Spec or any other key requirements: then establish negotiation targets with PM and engineering teams with prioritized list of cost, schedule and technical requirements to trade to meet targets.
